One of the most beautiful festivals held during the summer season is in Minami Furano where a fantastic firework display is held over Lake Kanayama as stalls sell food and run children activities. The firework display is dramatic with the lake acting as a mirror to double to impact of the fireworks. For firework enthusiasts this is one of the best places to see a display in central Hokkaido. Live concerts and music performances are held by a variety of performers with an emphasis on traditional music and dance.
