We have 3 bicycle hire shops around Furano Station, 1 in Kitanomine hotel zone and 1 in Rokugo district. with free delivery and pick up at Furano Station. The price for hiring a bicycle starts 200YEN / hr. and a motorcycle 2,000YEN / hr.
These shops also provide cloak service as well even for customers who don’t hire a bicycle. You can check a huge suit case in for 300YEN.
It’s a lot of fun to visit tourist spots riding a bicycle in rural Hokkaido under blue skies. Please check the direction or distance, or you’ll be surprised to know how far your destination is and how steep the hills are whilst getting about. Be sure to hit a supermarket and get something to drink and check your time schedule. The trip on a bike in Hokkaido could be more time consuming than you imagine.

Cheese Factory & Ice-Milk Factory: 30 min. 4km.
It’s really nice to ride past onion fields. You also can enjoy the great view of the Sorachi River. Be prepared for an uphill slope awaiting you at the end
New Furano Prince Hotel: About 2.5km away from the cheese factory.
located at the foot of Mt. Furano-Nishi-Dake.
Wine Factory 30min. 3.3km.
Grape Juice Factory: 40min. 4km.
These two factories are in the same direction. The wine factory stands on a hill. So it’s going to be a quite good exercise to ride up there. But don’t hesitate. Breathtaking views of downtown Furano and the Taisetsu Mountain Range can be seen from the factory. The road to the Grape Juice Factory runs through a vineyard. And don’t forget. Both factories provide tasting samples!
For advanced cyclists:
Farm Tomita: 6km away from the Grape Juice Factory.
A gentle slope keeps going for last 1.5km or so.
