Local Bus and Walking Tour of Rokugo

After you have fully enjoyed Rokugo, take the local bus to the scenic spots.

All kinds of glass ornaments and accessories, dishes and glasses and crystal collages are sold here, plus there is a crystal gallery and hand craft experience menu as well for your enjoyment. The [Shibare Glass] is created in the image of Furano's diamond dust and is an original product.

Recycled Houses
from TV Drama "From the Northern Country" (from 10:00)

The house which was built during the From TV Drama "From the Northern Country", in which all parts of the building are made from recycled items, creating an extremely unique piece of architecture, so if you are a fan of the drama, you will want to take the time to see it properly.

Dining in Rokugo

There is the Onoda Soba and Tomikawa Ramen noodle shop that were also locations used in the TV Drama "From the Northern Country", both offering mouth-watering food made with local ingredients. Since you have about 5 hours in Rokugo, you may want to enjoy the winter scenery if the weather is good and stop in at the Jam Farm and Anpanman Shop, (approx. 45 min.) or try hand crafts at the Glass Forest.

Cheese Factory (Nov. -Mar. until 16:00)

It is about a 10 minute walk to the Cheese Factory from Route 5 bus stop. Take a tour through the cheese factory and taste freshly made cheese, and purchase some of Furano's finest unique cheeses. Besides cheese there is the ice milk factory, pizza factory and hands-on experience studio (reservation necessary). You can take the boardwalk from the Cheese Factory straight to the Oka-no-Shashinkan, Hilltop Photo House where you can enjoy scenery of the four seasons in Furano.

Furano Marche (open until 19:00)

Inside the facility there is the Furano Produce Center, Farmer's Market, Sweets Café and Take-out Shop. At [Information Furano] staff is ready to give travel tips. Furano Marche showcases the appeal of Furano's great products such as vegetables, fruit, sweets, meals and so much more.

It is about a 7 minute walk from Furano Marche to Furano Station. If you have time, stop in at Sugiyama Coffee and take a break at the coffee specialty store that roasts coffee beans from all over the world.
