Kitanomine Closed for the Season
The Kitanomine side of the Furano Ski Resort has closed as scheduled for the season. Despite a much lower than average snowfall this season, Kitanomine was able to remain open to the regularly scheduled March 22. The spring skiing was very nice this year, with sunny days and cool nights keeping the snow in good condition.
The Furano side is scheduled to remain open until May 6, the end of the Golden Week holidays, so there is still plenty of skiing to be had for those still in Japan.
