JR Hokkaido -- Special Summer Trains
JR Hokkaido has announced the schedule for the special summer trains, including the popular Lavender Express from Sapporo to Furano, and the Norokko sightseeing train between Furano and Asahikawa.
The trains will begin service on July 1 and run through September 30. An important note is that there will be no reserved seats offered this year, only open seating. In addition, JR says the timetable may change, and they will make those announcements at that time. Some seasonal trains have also been cancelled for this year.
