Travelers to Japan know that getting cash during their trip is doable, but not necessarily the most convenient thing.

So updating the ATM situation in Furano is certainly an important topic. Here we go:

The ATM at the Furano Marche will be removed on Feb 28 at 6:00 P.M.

Beginning March 1, the ATMs at the Furano branch of the Hokkaido Bank (1 block from JR Furano Station) will be open on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays until 9:00 P.M.

Changing foreign currency into Yen can be done at North Pacific Bank (Hokuyo Ginko, also 1 block from JR Furano) between 9-3, and at the Furano Post Office from 9-4.

Withdrawing money in Yen from your overseas accounts can be done at 7-11 and Lawson convenience stores.
