New Year's in Japan is a unique experience, and a great time to visit...except for the inconvenient holiday closures of banks, stores and restaurants.
Here is a chart that lists the holiday closures for most of the restaurants in Furano. Look up your favorite restaurant and plan when you'll be able to eat there next. Luckily, Jan 1 is probably the most difficult, but you'll be able to find someplace interesting during the rest of the holidays.
