Asahikawa-Biei-Furano Ultra Walk
Here's an interesting event happening this Saturday, June 28: The Asahikawa-Biei-Furano Ultra Walk.
Participants will start at Asahikawa station, and walk 63 km through some of the prettiest countryside in Japan to arrive at Furano station. Wow! That's a long way; 50% longer than a marathon. Good thing they are walking!
They will have 13 hours to finish, which puts the last finishers coming into Furano by 9:00 PM. If you're here, pop on out and give them some encouragement. I'm sure they can use it!
This is just one of many fun events happening in Furano over the summer.
