Lavender Festivals
Not one, but TWO lavender festivals will be happening this weekend near Furano.
First off, Kamifurano kicks off their annual illuminated lavender fields this Friday, July 11. The nightly illumination runs until July 21. There will be a "mini-fireworks" show at the kickoff event.
The following day, July 12, is Nakafurano's Lavender Festival. Food and typical festival fun on tap throughout the day, with a real kicker of a fireworks show starting at 8:00 PM. If you like fireworks, don't miss it.
