Furano Ski Resort is OPEN!
Furano Ski Resort has opened on their regularly planned target date. Lucky for them. The weather has not been the most cooperative, but they report 25 cm of snow overnight, and a snow depth of 55 cm at the summit.
The usual early season operations are in effect: Furano Zone only. Ride the Topeway from the base to the summit, and then ski the two open runs on Lift D. Note that you cannot ski to the base of the mountain yet, so take the Ropeway back down at the end of the day.
From Monday onwards, the temps should cool significantly, and more snow is expected later in the week. We look forward to a great season.
