Happy Children's Day
Today Japan celebrates Children's Day, one of the four holidays during Golden Week.
Many families choose to commemorate by flying carp flags. Carp are revered for their perseverance while swimming upstream; a proper role model for kids facing the future challenges of life.
Luckily, May is usually quite windy in Japan, allowing the carp flags to fly free in the wind!
