Tokachidake Volcano Warning
The gurus in charge of monitoring the volcanic activity underneath Tokachidake have raised the alert level one notch from 1 to 2 (out of 5). There has been increased venting, and the steam color has darkened slightly. Restrictions have been placed to not get closer than 1.5 km from the crater. Good advice.
