Summer Events--Classic Car Show & Street Dance Competition
Continuing with more events that happened in Furano over the weekend is first the annual "Classic Car Meeting in Furano." This is a fantastic show, and every year I am just astounded at the cars that are stuffed in garages here in Hokkaido. Everything from significant American collectibles and hot rods to the most adorable late 60's and early 70's Japanese cars before they took over the automobile world. I mean, we're kinda far from the main action in Tokyo/Osaka, and yet it's a thing up here. Go on over to our Facebook page, "Visit Furano" for more car pics.
There was also a regional Hip-Hop street dance competition (Dance-off?) yesterday that was very well attended. That definitely raises Furano's cool factor.
The flower season is in full swing. Come on in, the lavender is fine!
