Nakafurano Lavender Festival & Fireworks
Next-door neighbor and home to the famous Farm Tomita, Nakafurano, is holding their annual Lavender Festival and fireworks show on Saturday, August 1, at Hokusei Yama in Nakafurano (aka Nakafurano Ski Area).
This is a great show. It lasts a long time, and the fireworks are going off right above you. Quite a thrill.
Things get rolling at 5:00 PM. Here is the event schedule:
5:00 PM -- Welcome speech
5:10 PM -- Wassou Furano
6:00 PM -- Kids Hip-Hop Performances
6:50 PM -- Japanese military band
7:30 PM -- Another speech
7:35 PM -- Taiko Drum Performance
7:45 PM -- Fireworks
8:30 PM -- Military band after-concert
